While the CAM-V mobile surveillance system was originally designed
to help protect construction sites from theft of materials and heavy
equipment, the company has found numerous of other markets for its
product.
It's amazing that every time we show our product at a trade show
someone comes up with a new way to use our product on ther than
for for security as well as for operational issues.
In New Orleans, Williams-Scotsman, Inc., used the CAM-V for on-site
construction security at nine school sites. Company executives quickly
realized that the camera allowed them to manage the operations of
the multi-site project from either the office or in the field.
"I didn't have to go out to work sites to monitor the progress
of work," said Richard Root, the New Orleans Williams-Scotsman
manager. "I could check the details of each project from my
office which saved me a lot of time."
Williams-Scotsman’s superintendents informed Cameras Onsite
that they liked the product for the way they could monitor deliveries
and safety issues - If a delivery was promised at a specified time,
they could check their computer monitors to make sure their vendors
met their deadlines.
